As a Community Engagement Senior Advisor, you will oversee community relations in our project communities across North America. As one of the continent's leading renewable energy development organizations, ENGIE is committed to fostering open communication, collaboration, and trust with our stakeholders. You will work closely with local communities to build strong relationships, address concerns, and promote the benefits of our renewable energy projects.

 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy aligned with the organization's mission, values, and goals, and ensure its effective implementation by the team
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the community engagement team, ensuring they have the resources, skills, and support needed to effectively manage community relations in our project communities
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of community outreach programs, events, and initiatives, working closely with the team to promote the organization's renewable energy projects and their benefits
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project development, communications, and government affairs, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of community engagement efforts
  • Monitor and analyze community sentiment, concerns, and feedback, and work with the team to develop proactive strategies to address issues and maintain positive relationships
  • Develop and manage the community engagement budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, events, and forums, serving as a spokesperson and advocate for renewable energy development
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to community engagement in the renewable energy sector, and ensure the team remains up-to-date
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on community engagement activities, outcomes, and key performance indicators, as well as the performance and development of the community engagement team

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in which you completed courses in communications, public relations, community development, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, with experience in hiring, training, and managing direct reports
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing community engagement strategies, preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure development sectors
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build consensus
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop a team of community engagement professionals
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to measure and communicate the impact of community engagement initiatives
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, including relevant regulations, policies, and best practices
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and attend community events

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 50% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing 
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400 – $196,765 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
