What You Can Expect

As our Business Development Analyst II, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of the distributed solar and storage business at ENGIE. You will be responsible for preparing financial models, analyzing and tracking project opportunities, internal reporting, and other critical activities to support both organic and inorganic growth. In this role, you will support a team of five (5) indirectly with analytical functions, requiring some experience with energy projects and/or US power markets, as well as strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills. You will need to be adept at juggling a variety of simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines, all while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. This role can be based in Chicago, IL (preferred), Houston, TX, Woodmere, NY, or remotely in Oakland, CA and reports to the Manager, Market Analytics.

 

 

  • Track and maintain detailed records of incoming project acquisition opportunities
  • Manage proposal generation for new bids
  • Support the review of new opportunities and organize meetings with internal stakeholders to facilitate timely decisions
  • Provide inputs to project finance models and coordinate with internal project finance function
  • Coordinate with internal departments for timely payments to consultants, development partners, and project sellers; also, support deal leads on various tasks

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • A minimum of two (2) years of related experience in a professional setting where you gained experience building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • You have a working knowledge of energy projects, power markets, renewables, and/or energy storage
  • You are conscientious, detail-oriented, growth-minded professional looking to develop a broad understanding of the solar PV project life cycle
  • You are proficient in advance MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, experience with CRM tools, sales force, Google Earth, or GIS
  • You are a strong communicator with the ability to distill complex topics for executive audiences
  • You are self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $62,400 – $95,450 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
