The Asset Optimization Manager will develop and implement optimization strategies for renewable and thermal generation assets across US Markets.This position is located in Houston, TX and reports to Asset Management Director ENGIE Energy Marketing North America.
What you’ll do:
- Develops asset dispatch strategies for optimizing a portfolio of generating assets.
- Responsible for submission of bids and offers, operating plans, outage tickets, and other required submittals into ISO systems, ensuring timeliness and correctness.
- Single point of contact with plant owners, plant operations, system operators, and other relevant parties to communicate market and operational information as required.
- Supports the commercial team to develop offers for Energy Management Agreements and associated services
- Act as a team member with all employees of ENGIE Energy Marketing NA, Inc staff.
- Comply with all ENGIE Energy Marketing NA, Inc policies and procedures.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of energy experience in Real Time Dispatch or Asset Management in US Markets is required.
- PJM and/or NERC certification preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO rules is required.
- Experience in offering and executing EMA’s as a commercial service to third parties preferred.
- Must possess strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Adapts to working in a changing environment.

- Salary Range: $130,830 - $ 218,505 annually
- Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
- In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
