What You Can Expect

As our Asset Management Advisor located in Houston, TX for the Texas Region, you will play a key role within the Asset Management team responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and regulatory performance of assets in the region. This includes budget management, O&M planning, procurement management, coordination with the Independent System Operator (ISO), and leading daily operations. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of operational coordination and ISO requirements, coupled with strong skills in asset lifecycle management.

 

Reporting to the Asset Management Manager, your primary duties encompass:

 

Budget Management:

  • Develop, monitor, and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with company financial goals
  • Analyze financial performance and provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations for optimization

 

O&M Planning:

  • Lead daily operational meeting with Operations team and determine the Day-Ahead Asset availability
  • Optimize maintenance schedules by ensuring both commercial and technical objectives are considered
  • Monitor asset performance / KPI and recommend improvements to minimize downtime and maximize asset efficiency

 

Procurement & Inventory Management:

  • Lead coordination with Procurement & Contracts department on ensuring necessary contracts / agreement are in place to support Operational Sites
  • Oversee inventory levels for critical spare parts, tools, and equipment to support uninterrupted operations
  • Develop and implement processes for efficient inventory tracking, reordering, and cost control

 

Coordination with ISO:

  • Act as the primary liaison with the ISO, ensuring compliance with all market and operational requirements
  • Proactively address and resolve any issues or changes related to ISO operations or regulations

 

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Serve as a key point of contact between internal departments, contractors, and external stakeholders
  • Provide timely updates and performance reports to senior management, including insights into operational challenges and successes

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Energy Asset Management, or equivalent degree program
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in asset management, operations, or a related field in the energy sector
  • Experience with ISO and familiarity with Texas energy markets
  • Proven track record in budget management, inventory oversight, and operational coordination
  • Strong understanding of energy market operations and regulatory compliance
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail for budgeting, inventory, and operational planning
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage stakeholders
  • Data visualization skills (i.e. Power BI)

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of with a minimum of three (3) days in the office
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 15% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
