What You Can Expect

As our Accounting Director, you'll play a pivotal role in driving performance and impacting outcomes. You'll manage the period-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and coordinate tasks performed by the Accounting Shared Services Team (GBS). Responsible for delivering financials for the Energy Solutions business unit, you'll oversee three (3) Accounting Managers and (15) additional indirect reports, supporting the teams with expertise in financial reporting, technical accounting, transactional tax, process controls, and audit coordination. This position is based in the Houston, TX office and reports to the Vice President, Head of Global Business Services.

 

 

  • Lead and develop the Accounting Team, setting goals, conducting evaluations, and facilitating knowledge transfer
  • Monitor the financial close and reporting process, ensuring adherence to a three-day close process
  • Review profit and loss statements and balance sheets with FP&A to address unusual trends and variances outside of budget
  • Oversee accruals, revenue calculations, invoices, cash receipts, and all manual journal entries posted to the general ledger
  • Establish strong working relationships with FP&A, Treasury, and Tax departments to meet deadlines and deliverables

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ or relevant  accounting experience in Accounting, and financial reporting
  • You are CPA certified or currently in progress towards certification
  • You have experience in SAP, IFRS, public audit and accounting experience
  • You possess strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel
  • You have a strong attention to detail, excellent accounting skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • You possess strong management and decision-making capabilities, along with the ability to communicate effectively with internal customers and external auditors
  • You are deadline-driven with the ability to plan ahead to ensure deadlines are met
  • You have an excellent understanding of financial numbers, risks, and controls, combined with solid business knowledge

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400 – $196,765 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
