Head of Finance KSA
Job Purpose:
• Is a member of KSA EXCOM
• Drives locally P&L, BS and CFFO
• In charge of the country monthly/quarterly closing and forecast processes
• Ensures fiduciary & legal obligations at country level, implementation of business and internal control, as well as enterprise risk management (supporting regional risk officer) and business continuity efforts. The ultimate accountability on these matters remains with the ENGIE ME CFO.
• Represents ENGIE towards external stakeholders in KSA (partners, financial institutions, authorities…), coordinates financial transactions, and ensures compliance with governance standards.
• Animates the ENGIE finance community in KSA (accounting*, FP&A*, O&M CFOs, Project CO CFOs), and collaborates with other support functions in KSA (tax, insurance, procurement, ESG…).
* Accounting & FP&A supporting Engie business in KSA forming part of a shared accounting and FP&A teams
Job mission
• Responsible for integrity of local statutory and IFRS accounts (the ultimate accountability on these matters remains with the ENGIE ME CFO)
• Supports implementation of finance processes & tools, associated governance & organization, in compliance with Function guidance, to deliver best-in-class services and lead local aspects of group transformation projects
• Protects the value creation at ENGIE level and arbitrage between GBUs when is needed to avoid inefficiencies or value destruction
• Represents the CFO ENGIE ME in local project InvCo’s and ensures all local finance specificities are well taken into account
• Supports identification and quantification of country risks by the ERM HUB risk officer, accountable for producing the country risk mapping & the country risk mandate
• Implements financing processes according to Group Policies, treasury processes and tools, under the accountability of the CFO ENGIE ME
• Implementation of IC System in the country, supporting the CFO ENGIE ME in his/her accountability to sign off the Country IC Attestation Letter (Finance scope)
Education:
Bachelor and/ or a Master Degree in Economics, Finance, Business administration.
Mandatory:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance in various roles, including audit / accounting / controlling
• Experience in finance director position overseeing finance function end-to-end
• International work experience in complex matrixed organizations in energy sector and utilities, but could be industrial, construction sectors
• Cost efficiency and operations optimization experience
• Data-driven with digital-first mindset
• Strategic, with problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
• Strong-drive and transformational mindset
• Strong communication skills to enable cross-functional collaboration and good relationship with external stakeholders and partners
