Senior Managerial Role – QA/QC & Operational Excellence
At ENGIE, we are accelerating the energy transition by building utility-scale renewable energy assets that power a cleaner future. Our ambition in India demands excellence at every stage—from supply chain to site delivery.
We are looking for a seasoned quality leader to build and lead our QA/QC function from the ground up. You will define how quality is managed across our solar, wind and BESS projects, ensuring every asset we deliver meets the highest standards of performance, safety and compliance.
What You'll Do
- Establish the QA/QC department structure, governance framework and resourcing plan aligned to our growing project pipeline across India.
- Develop and deploy an Integrated Management System encompassing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, driving certification and continual improvement.
- Define vendor qualification criteria, manage supplier audits and implement inspection strategies (FAT, pre-dispatch, MDCC) to ensure zero-defect deliveries of critical components.
- Deploy Field Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans and method statements across civil, mechanical, electrical and SCADA works on project sites.
- Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives targeting Cost of Poor Quality reduction, productivity gains and process cycle-time compression across multiple EPC contractors.
- Implement a digital Quality MIS with KPI dashboards tracking non-conformances, corrective actions, supplier performance and COPQ for executive review.
- Recruit, mentor and develop a high-performing QA/QC team while fostering a culture of ownership, innovation and zero tolerance for substandard work.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in QA/QC and Operational Excellence within large-scale renewable energy or power-generation projects.
- Proven track record of establishing quality functions and processes from scratch, managing system, supply and field quality across multiple EPC contractors.
- Advanced certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Lead Auditor IMS or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Hands-on expertise with ISO 9001/14001/45001, APQP/PPAP, ITP/FAT protocols, NCR management and COPQ frameworks.
- Proficiency with QMS software, ERP modules, Primavera and BI tools such as Power BI.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, from shop-floor teams to board-level presentations.
Location
Pune, India – On Site
What We Offer
- A competitive salary and career progression path within one of the world's leading energy companies.
- A diversity of missions across solar PV, wind, BESS and green hydrogen projects at utility scale.
- Stimulating, high-impact work that directly shapes India's clean-energy landscape.
- A friendly, collaborative work environment with cross-functional teams committed to excellence.
- Flexibility and work-life balance supported by progressive workplace policies.
- Continuous learning opportunities including leadership development and professional certifications.
