BIM Engineer (Transport Infrastructure)

Work environment 

You will work as a BIM Engineer, from our office in Hasselt, within our Transport Infrastructure department, the department within Tractebel that mainly designs/studies projects related to roads, tramways, airports, tunnels and bridges. 

Besides designing roads, designing sewer systems is a second important part, taking into account climate change and sustainable use of (rain) water. 

Role

• You will carry out infrastructure projects, together with our team of experts, in close cooperation with the project leader
• You work on infrastructure projects, from primary roads to secondary roads, including sewage and drainage systems, bridges, ....
• You carry out design work and keep abreast of new techniques and developments in your field of expertise
• You assist the project leader in his management tasks
• You communicate with other project disciplines, including structural, architectural, geotechnical, surveying and other aspects of a project
• You report to the project leader and your team manager
• You develop your technical skills (ACAD, Civil 3D ...)

 
Profile

• You have a bachelor or master degree in industrial engineering (civil or industrial)
• You have 7 years of relevant work experience 
• You MUST have an excellent knowledge of ACAD, 3D design packages (Civil 3D)
• A strong experience with PIPES (Civil 3D) is a plus
• Experience with GIS and BIM packages (BIM360, Navisworks, ...) is highly recommended
• You are a team player; dynamic, accurate, solution-oriented and creative 
• You have a good command of at least two of the following languages, with excellent writing skills: Dutch - English - French
• You are in possession of an international driving licence / "B" licence
