This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of technical accounting rigor, strategic budgeting, and cross-border compliance management. You will serve as a vital link between regional operations (India, ME, Australia) and our corporate headquarters in Belgium, ensuring financial integrity and operational efficiency across the project lifecycle.

Team Lead – Business Controlling

Location : Gurgaon

Reporting Lines: This position shall be reporting to VP (F&A).

Key Responsibilities Areas

1. Financial Reporting & Project Controlling

• Closing Activities: Lead and contribute to monthly and annual accounting closing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
• Consolidation & Budgeting: Drive the consolidation of results and financial reporting. Lead the annual budgeting exercise and periodic forecasting to provide actionable insights.
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage AR processes and oversee Project Life Cycle Management from a financial perspective, ensuring healthy cash flow and project profitability.

2. Treasury, Insurance & Banking

• Banking Relations: Manage relationships with banks specifically regarding credit line facilities and BG issuance.
• Risk Management: Oversee the renewal of insurance policies and manage the related accounting entries and compliance.

3. Tax, Compliance & Internal Controls

4. Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies (India, Middle East, Australia).
• Maintain a good alignment with the Corporate team in Belgium on various topics including Internal Control and Audit, Tax Reporting and Reporting.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Certification: Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
• Experience: Approximately 10 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, controlling, and finance operations.
• Environment: Proven track record in a multinational (MNC) or multi-entity environment is highly preferred.
• Project Mindset: Experience in project-based financial management is a significant plus.

• Technical Proficiency: working knowledge of SAP.
• Advanced Excel & PowerPoint: Ability to handle complex data and create executive-level presentations.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with skills to work effectively across different time zones and geographies.
