What You Can Expect

As our Senior Transaction Analyst, you will perform in a high-paced, open environment where meeting tight deadlines is critical and directly impacts the organization’s profit and loss. This team plays a key role in supporting our corporate enrollment guarantee, which protects risk-averse customers during their transition to and from other suppliers. Your contributions will help shape the customer experience and can influence future business opportunities.

 

This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Director of Transaction Management.

 

 

  • Participate in capital and operational project testing, including creating UAT scripts and testing
  • Facilitate discussions, presenting insights, and serving as a key liaison in internal and external meetings
  • Lead training initiatives for both direct team members and cross-functional partners, ensuring clarity and alignment on operational workflows
  • Provide expert-level support and oversight for EDI transaction replays, ensuring accurate processing of enrollments, drops, and changes
  • Maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all Transaction Management tasks and usage issues to support sales, revenue, billing, settlements and forecast
  • Investigate and resolve transaction failures and exception-related data by documenting, gathering, organizing, and analyzing information using tools such as CRM systems, Excel, Access, SQL, MarkeTrak, and SharePoint. Effectively communicate findings and deliver actionable recommendations
  • Comply with all ENGIE policies and procedures
  • Gather/Organize/Analyze transaction related data using customer relationship management (CRM) system and various reporting systems
  • Manage registration of customer accounts through EDI enrollment transactions
  • Manage end of term requirements for customer accounts through EDI drop transactions
  • Resolve all transaction issues using all available tools such as Share Point, Oracle, Excel, Access, PowerBI, Teams, etc. and work with others to push these issues to closure
  • Track issues using CRM (customer relationship management) system and external systems outsourced by vendors and utilities per market requirements. MarkeTrak, Adminitrak, Right Now, etc.
  • Work as liaison with internal groups to resolve daily, weekly, monthly quarterly transaction issue reports and workflows
  • Maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for inboxes, critical outage and usage issues to support sales, revenue, billing, settlements and forecast
  • Set appropriate expectations to stakeholders

 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or Economics. In lieu of a degree, we will accept seven (7) years of hands-on experience processing utility transactions within ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, or MISO
  • A minimum of five (5) years of energy related experience in processing utility transactions in ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, MISO, and/or ISO-NE
  • You are knowledgeable in SQL and/or Power BI reporting, which is considered a plus
  • You have demonstrated the ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision when needed
  • You are self-motivated, with a strong sense of accountability and a drive to deliver high-quality results

Compensation

Salary Range: $88,800 – $136,045 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
