What You Can Expect

As our Temporary, Retail Operations, Analyst I (Cash), you will facilitate cash postings, analysis, and remediation of cash applications for all cash receipts, ensuring accurate and timely application to customers’ account. In this role the Cash Applications, Analyst I acts as a liaison to other operational departments and reconciles daily cash postings and research discrepancies to ensure proper resolution. This position sits in Houston, TX reporting to the Commissions and Cash Applications, Director.

 

  • Timely and accurately cash matching in Engie’s ERP system
  • Reconcile daily cash match posting to bank account and analyze and research all unapplied cash receipts
  • Act as the liaison with other operations departments for the proper application of cash receipts
  • Analyze cash receipts, ensuring that the correct cash amounts remitted are applied and allocated accurately to customer accounts
  • Research all discrepancies between the cash receipt submission and customers’ outstanding balance to ensure timely resolution
  • Track and report on all cash in transit receipts
  • Provide daily status update to Manager
  • Make recommendations to Manager on process improvements that streamline the cash application activity
  • Participate in major department projects and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have at least an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, or Accounting, where you studied financial principles, data analysis, and accounting practices or related field
  • This early career position does not necessitate prior experience. However, exposure to tasks such as data management or analysis, handling cash transactions, and reconciliations would be beneficial
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You are strong in analytical ability, detail-oriented, and goal-oriented
  • You have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities independently
  • You are proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel and Power BI
  • You have familiarity with billing or operations across multiple markets

Compensation

Hourly Range:  $21.00 - $25.00 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
