The Renewables & Flexible Power Global Business Unit (R&FGBU) is a key engine in ENGIE’s transition toward clean, resilient energy systems. Hedging & Risk mission: 

You will work alongside the ENGIE North America Hedging & Risk team.  In this role, you will help map operating and development risks, determine how to mitigate these risks, and implement solutions.  In this role the you will also monitor various power markets, benchmark trading performance, and identify opportunities to optimize revenues for Renewables and Battery Storage projects.    

Program Structure (24 months)

  • Mission 1: 9-12-month A first local immersion in the Houston, TX office
  • Mission 2: 6-month Second assignment abroad in one of ENGIE’s R&F geographies, gaining exposure to crosscultural teams and new operational realities
  • Mission 3: 9-month A consolidation local mission in the Houston, TX office designed to deepen expertise to prepare for the landing role. Focus on business contribution, autonomy, and ability to manage small projects or workstreams

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, finance, engineering, economics, or related quantitative discipline
  • Interest in the energy industry, with a particular focus in trends of power markets, and growth of renewable energy and battery storage
  • Analytical with the ability to synthesize complex data, identify key trends and risks, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA) and data platforms to automate workflows, analyze large datasets, and support risk management, trading, and commercial decision-making
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex analytical projects, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver high-quality results within established timelines
  • Willingness and commitment for international mobility during and after the program and in contribution to ENGIE’s objectives

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid in-office work policy; and is not eligible for remote work 
  • Must have a valid passport and be available to travel domestically and internationally  
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $90,000 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
