What You Can Expect

As a REC (Renewable Energy Credit) Environmental Products Analyst II in Houston office, you will report to the Director of REC Trading and Portfolio Management and provide scheduling, market analysis, trading and portfolio management support to EEMNA (ENGIE Energy Management North America) REC desk. 

 

  • Trade flow support for EEMNA REC trading and operations
  • Portfolio management for EEMNA REC portfolio
  • North America REC market analysis
  • Backup REC trading and execution for Senior Traders

 

What You’ll Bring

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in which you completed courses in engineering, business, finance, mathematics, or a related discipline 

Minimum of two (2) years of exposure to trading operations and a minimum of one (1) year in mid office support

Excellent analytical skills 

Research complex business problems and identify opportunities to design, develop, and propose actionable solutions in support of portfolio management and trading analysis activities  

Support the development and enhancement of models and system platforms related to portfolio management and trading activities

Ability to collaborate with internal function groups, such as Legal, Trade Control and Settlements to ensure an accurate representation of trades and positions

Analyze supply and demand fundamentals of REC and energy markets

Ability to problem solve and leverage strong analytical and statistical skillset

Ability to convey complex technical analysis to a broader audience including senior leadership

Can work autonomously and be flexible

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage stressful situations

Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy and autonomy

Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally

Clear and effective communicator. Willingness to engage in dialogue and debate with colleagues 

Proficiency in relevant IT tools (ex. Excel, VBA, SQL, PowerBI)

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; 4 days in the office  
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $61,400 – $94,070 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
