What You Can Expect

The Product Strategy Advisor – Power is responsible for leading the development, positioning, and lifecycle management of ENGIE’s power products across North America. This strategic role bridges market intelligence, customer needs, system constraints, and commercial innovation to deliver differentiated energy solutions that drive growth, profitability, and sustainability. This role requires someone with an entrepreneurial spirit that can manage change and can trailblaze and create new processes, procedures and products and bring them to the stakeholders.  This is a hybrid role based in Houston TX,

 

Key Responsibilities

 Product Strategy & Innovation

  • You will define and execute the power product roadmap aligned with ENGIE’s commercial strategy and energy transition goals.
  • You will be monitoring market trends, regulatory changes, and customer feedback identifying new product opportunities.
  • You champion innovation in product design, including renewable integration, flexible load solutions, and digital offerings.

 Commercial Leadership

  • You’ll collaborate with Origination, Sales, Structuring, and Trading teams to ensure product-market fit and commercial viability.
  • You will lead go-to-market strategies, pricing frameworks, and value propositions for power products (e.g., PPAs, retail electricity, demand response).

 Product Development & Lifecycle Management

  • You will oversee the development, launch, and evolution of power products from concept to retirement
  • Ensure products comply with market rules (ERCOT, PJM, NEPOOL, NYISO, and other new markets), internal risk policies, and sustainability targets
  • You will manage product performance metrics, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • You will enhance cross-functional collaboration between stakeholders and development teams, as it pertains to Project Phoenix, and the CPQ needs during the development and testing phases
  • You act as the central point of coordination between technical, regulatory, financial, and commercial stakeholders
  • You’ll work closely with Pricing & Structuring to ensure accurate modeling and risk-adjusted pricing
  • You partner with Regulatory Affairs to anticipate and adapt to policy changes impacting product design
  • You champion a culture of sustainability-driven innovation, leveraging data, customer insights, and lifecycle thinking to drive meaningful change

Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership

  • You’ll provide insights on competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and customer trends
  • You will represent ENGIE in industry forums, conferences, and working groups to shape market evolution
  • You educate internal teams on product capabilities and market dynamics

 

What You’ll Bring

  • This role requires the minimum level of education to be a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in energy markets, preferably in power product development, structuring, or commercial strategy
  • You will have a strong understanding of wholesale and retail electricity markets, renewable integration, and regulatory frameworks
  • You have proven leadership in cross-functional environments and customer-centric product innovation
  • You have excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management
  • You possess familiarity with energy trading, risk management, and financial modeling
  • You have knowledge and some experience with digital platforms, energy analytics, or DERs (Distributed Energy Resources)
  • You have prior exposure to sustainability-driven product design (e.g., carbon-free portfolios, RECs, ESG-linked contracts)

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,900.00 – $174,570.00 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
