What You Can Expect
As or Senior Advisor – Portfolio Management & Analytics you will work with a team of professionals responsible for maximizing the profitability of retail contracts while managing market risks within acceptable risk limits and ensuring optimal netting with ENGIE North America’s asset portfolio.
This position sits in Houston, TX reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management.
- Work with the Retail Portfolio Management team to design and execute hedging strategies for managing market risks linked to ENGIE’s C&I retail power activity
- Develop and implement processes to ensure costing parameters and methodologies used for pricing new C&I contracts are accurate, competitive and aligned with market trends
- Assist the Portfolio Analytics team with developing and maintaining forecasting models
- Provide subject matter expertise and testing support for system projects that impact Portfolio Management and Portfolio Analytics business processes
- Collaborate with Risk and IT teams to advance the development of risk metrics, ensuring accurate representation of contracts and existing hedges within the risk management systems
What You’ll Bring
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, or Computer Science. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of ten (10) years of equivalent professional experience will be considered
- A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in competitive energy markets, dealing with retail power, or trading or portfolio management
- You are knowledgeable in regulatory frameworks and market structures impacting C&I Retail Power
- You have strong data management and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel (including VBA), Python, or other data analysis tools
- You are resourceful and curious, adept at leveraging diverse tools, data sources, and systems to enhance insights and performance
- You have strong commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of business principles, contracts, and stakeholder relationships
- You are analytical and detail-oriented, able to deliver precise insights, identify root causes, and develop clear action plans for leadership review
- You have excellent project management and organizational skills, capable of coordinating cross-functional efforts and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of 3 days in-office each week
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $131,000 – $200,790 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
