What You Can Expect

As the Performance Analytics Manager within ENGIE North America’s Renewable & Flex Power Generation Business Unit, you will play a critical role in advancing operational excellence across our growing portfolio of renewable energy assets, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar, and wind. You will lead a team of data scientists and performance engineers focused on analyzing asset health, identifying failure trends, and generating actionable insights that directly impact availability, reliability, and cost efficiency across the fleet.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and managing advanced performance monitoring tools, driving data-driven decision-making through custom analytics, and partnering closely with site operations teams to guide strategic improvements. From supporting Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) of major equipment failures to informing budget planning and spare parts strategies, your work will directly influence the efficiency and uptime of ENGIE’s operational assets. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and data platform teams to continuously improve our digital performance landscape.

 

Reporting to the Director of Performance & Reliability, your primary duties encompass:

 

  • Manage and support a team of data scientists and performance engineers dedicated to BESS, Solar and Wind technologies
  • Develop and maintain tools that monitor over-all performance and availability of operating fleet
  • Develop advanced analytics that identify failure modes and provide operations with actionable recommendations
  • Perform detailed analysis during RCA’s of major equipment failures
  • Support analysis needed during budgeting, spare parts management and other operations tasks

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field; equivalent certifications or relevant training may be considered
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of data analytics or operations experience at  power plants
  • Experience with data visualization tools and platforms such as Power BI, Grafana, Databricks, etc.
  • Strong familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, etc.
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures
  • Basic understanding of electrical equipment and calculations
  • Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, and implement appropriate solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient in MS OFFICE, Excel, Word, Project Management systems
  • Be an action-oriented, self-motivator individual who can lead a team, work independently, and has strong organizational and personal skills

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
