This is a CONTRACT POSITION.

What You Can Expect 

The Market/Middle-Office Analyst, is responsible for supporting daily MtM (Mark-to-Market) reporting, P&L validation, risk monitoring including stress test for the US B2B Supply business activity. This role ensures consistent and accurate publication of the Daily P&L and compliance with the different risk limits and metrics. The role also consists of managing the book structure across multiple legal entities’ transactions and maintains strict adherence to risk mandates. By estimating and modeling various market inputs, validating forward/settlement curves, and creating data-driven reports, this position is crucial in supporting the overall financial performance and risk management of the Supply business activity. Additionally, the Analyst will contribute to improving the Middle-Office and Market Risk processes specific to the Supply  business, enhancing reporting capabilities through tools like Power BI.  

  • Manage daily MtM and P&L validation, ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and deliver results to key stakeholders. 

  • Oversee book structure and valuation across legal entities, aligning with Front Office, Back Office, Finance, Legal, and Accounting. 

  • Lead price control activities, including curve validation, benchmarking, and review of nonmarket observable inputs. 

  • Drive process automation and reporting improvements, developing KRIs, dashboards, and stresstesting frameworks. 

  • Monitor risk exposures (delta, shape/basis, MAPE), maintain compliance and audit readiness, and ensure accurate utility and ETRM data capture. 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Market finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Market Risk/Middle-Office environment within the energy or commodities sector (Gas and Power) .  

  • Demonstrated experience in managing MtM reporting, profit and loss analysis, and risk metrics (e.g., V@R, stress testing).   

  • Past experience with retail electricity providers preferred.  

  • Proficient in ETRM systems (e.g., FIS Aligne, Alegro, etc.) and advanced Excel.   

  • Proficient with Power BI for reporting and data visualization, including SQL and Python
