What You Can Expect

As a Land Agent Advisor, you will support the Land Acquisition team to develop land acquisition strategies for greenfield projects, existing project initiatives, and the acquisition of projects dedicated to renewable energy. 

 

In this role you will collaborate with ENGIE management to develop craft and implement successful land acquisition strategies, organize and deliver compelling presentations to landowners, and take ownership of assigned projects by managing timelines, meeting deadlines, and defining clear objectives. Additionally, you will work closely with business development, legal, and project management teams to ensure the success of each initiative, while also managing a minimum of two (2) Land Agents.  

 

  • Negotiate and secure land agreements (easements, leases, and related contracts) for wind and solar energy development, ensuring alignment with company terms and landowner expectations
  • Conduct land research and documentation for easements or leases from public records from county courthouses or abstract offices, organizing project files, and maintaining accurate documentation for each landowner and project
  • Support project execution by managing land inventory, assisting with surface use agreements, and resolving land-related issues in coordination with project managers
  • Oversee project ownership and timelines, ensuring deadlines, objectives, and success criteria are met across multiple land acquisition initiatives
  • Maintain regulatory awareness and stakeholder engagement, staying current with relevant laws and collaborating with third-party land agents to secure strategic land positions

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you have studied business, engineering, finance, or equivalent program in which you have gained an understanding of contracts, agreements, and effective negotiation strategies 
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of land acquisition experience, including a minimum of three (3) years in renewable energy land acquisition projects
  • Deep understanding of real estate and regulatory frameworks, with a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local regulations relevant to renewable energy development
  • Technical proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and familiarity with Green IT Database and Microsoft Access/database systems
  • Exceptional collaboration, organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and able to shift focus quickly and efficiently between varying priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Leadership and collaboration capabilities demonstrated by experience managing third-party land acquisition teams and working effectively across cross-functional teams

 

Additional Details

Must be available to travel domestically up to 60% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips

Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record; for car rentals or personal vehicle while performing company business 

Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
