What You Can Expect

Our Internship Program offers the unique opportunity to gain enterprise level hands-on experience while gaining valuable exposure to Houston’s Energy business sector. 

 

As an Asset Optimization Intern, you will

  • Support Day Ahead and Real Time optimization teams through various daily processes and projects 
  • Support outage coordination of ENGIE and third-party assets
  • Monitor market conditions for relevant and impactful events to ENGIE portfolio 
  • Review and update Day Ahead and Real Time optimization procedures

 

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Must be at least a junior or senior (by end of spring 2026 semester) working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or any related field 
  • Must possess a 3.0 GPA or higher & be able to work up to 40 hours per week
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future sponsorship for employment visa status

 

Additional Details

  • The internship work term will be from May 2026 – August 2026, full-time work schedule working 40 hours per week
  • Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;

 

Compensation

Hourly Range:  $26.50 – 35.50 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
