What You Can Expect
As a Financial Analysis & Reporting Intern, you will support the budgeting process for ENGIE North America’s Supply B2B business. You will collaborate closely with the Global Business Unit (GBU) Portfolio Management, Operations, and Sales teams to develop a strong understanding of key profitability drivers, business risks, and liquidity management.
In this role, you will be part of ENGIE’s Finance team, supporting the preparation of accurate monthly and quarterly financial results for Management and Group reporting. You will contribute to the development of monthly and quarterly business reviews for GBU Management and ENGIE Group Corporate leadership, highlighting business performance and trends driven by operational and project‑specific factors.
You will also participate in cross‑functional and transversal projects, supporting enterprise‑wide initiatives while ensuring effective coordination, data accuracy, and consistency across stakeholders.
This full‑time internship is based in Houston, TX, and runs from June 1, 2026 through November 20, 2026.
- Participation in the development of annual budgets, re-forecasts, and medium-term business plans (MTP), collaborating with other Business divisions ensuring consistency with ENGIE guidelines.
- Under the supervision of the FP&A leader, prepare supporting materials for and actively participate internal business reviews.
- Ensure that the entity's budget and MTP data is correctly and promptly entered into reporting systems from our Operational SAC Budget tool to our consolidated reports
- Participation to produce timely and accurate closing reporting, including thorough management analysis of P&L and Cash-Flow Statement components. IT tools (ERP SAP, SAC) will support your analysis
- Partner with accounting and IT departments to ensure reporting accuracy including but not limited to data mapping and creating new reporting structures
- Participate in a cross‑functional IT project, contributing as a project support resource
- Support system testing by verifying data accuracy, identifying errors, and documenting issues for follow‑up
- Assist in monitoring project risks and dependencies, ensuring any impacts are promptly communicated to the project team
What You’ll Bring
- You are currently enrolled in your undergraduate degree at a college or university program related to Finance or in a related field in business financial analysis, financial reporting or accounting
- You will gain exposure to finance and energy operations, supporting management with data‑informed insights and decision‑making
- You are knowledgeable in advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Power BI, with ERP and accounting fundamentals as a plus
- You demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English
- You bring strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate in fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environments
- You are self‑motivated with a desire to continuously learn, deepen expertise in finance and energy, and build a long‑term career as a financial leader within the ENGIE Group
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of with a minimum of three (3) days in the Houston, TX office
- You can work up to 40 hours per week
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Hourly Range: $22.50 - $35.50 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
