What You Can Expect
The Commercial IT Applications team provides critical support and collaborates with multiple business units. The primary driver is to operate and participate in the North American Independent System Operators (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, ISONE, NYISO) for all electrical grid activities using a combination of enterprise Bid-to-Bill application and custom solutions. Daily success is driven by responsiveness, planning, critical thinking and support.
What You’ll Bring
• Currently pursuing a technical or business related Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university
• Essential skillsets:
o Communication (verbal and written)
o Familiarity of accounting or economics
o General understanding of infrastructure (servers, networking, cybersecurity, databases, cloud)
o Basic to intermediate knowledge of C#/Python and SQL languages
o Basic knowledge of JSON and XML data formats
o Capacity to learn new concepts
• Initial period will involve training in ISOs, ENGIE’s business activities and applications for foundational knowledge
• Position will evolve into analysis and daily support including non-business hour rotational support, contributor to existing projects and potentially leading small-size projects or initiatives
• Collaboration with multiple business stakeholders
Additional Details
The internship work term will be from January 2026 to May 2026, full-time work schedule working 20-40 hours per week
This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
Must be available on a rotational schedule for non-business hour critical support
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $22.50 – $31.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
