What You Can Expect
As an intern, you’ll gain visibility into the full spectrum of energy operations—trading, power scheduling, and market intelligence—through the lens of data and technology. You’ll see firsthand how IT drives the business, because in today’s energy markets, there is no business without data. From real-time power price forecasts across 10,000 grid nodes to optimizing the largest utility-scale battery fleet in North America, our systems make it happen. You will gain direct knowledge, understanding complex trade scenarios and how those translate into IT Trading system from deal entry, valuation and settlement.
What You’ll Bring
- A motivated undergraduate (Business, Finance, Energy Management, or related field) with curiosity about how technology drives the energy business.
- Must possess a 3.0 GPA or higher and be able to work between 20 - 40 hours per week.
- Strong interest in clean energy, trading, or power markets—and a willingness to learn the tech behind them.
- Comfort with data: Excel skills required; exposure to analytics tools or coding (Python, SQL) is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- A self-starter who wants to make an impact and learn how IT enables the energy transition.
Additional Details
The internship work term will be from January 2026 to May 2026, full-time work schedule working 20-40 hours per week
Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester
This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy

Compensation
Hourly Range: $22.40 - $31.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
