What You Can Expect

We are seeking a motivated, strategic, and highly proactive intern to join our team as a Portfolio Strategy Intern. In this role, you will support key business initiatives by leading strategic projects, conducting market and competitive analysis, and developing executive-ready presentations that help drive business decisions. This position supports the Renewables & Flex Power growth strategy in North America while contributing to ENGIE's global business planning process.

 

 

 

What You Will Do

  • Support the development and execution of ENGIE's portfolio strategy, annual business planning activities, and investment review processes that support Renewables & Flex Power growth objectives across North America
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize business, market, financial, and operational data to develop actionable insights and recommendations for leadership decision-making
  • Conduct market and industry research, evaluate third-party and consultant data sources, monitor emerging trends, and communicate key findings to internal stakeholders
  • Develop executive-ready presentations, business cases, briefing materials, and visual communications that clearly convey complex information to business and leadership audiences
  • Support strategic initiatives and special projects by preparing analyses and materials for leadership reviews, planning discussions, and business decision forums
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Business Development, Power Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to coordinate information flow, support alignment, and maintain data quality
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, proactively identify opportunities for improvement, and independently drive deliverables to completion in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Currently pursuing a minimum second-year undergraduate degree or graduate degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to create professional, executive-ready presentations and business materials
  • Business acumen and analytical capabilities, with experience performing quantitative analysis and translating findings into actionable recommendations
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly across technical, business, and leadership audiences
  • Ability to develop compelling presentation materials using clear messaging, thoughtful visual organization, and effective storytelling techniques
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and accountability, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills, coupled with attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
  • Experience with graphic design, data visualization, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar visual communication tools is preferred
  • Resourceful, dependable, and results-oriented, with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn

 

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid in-office work policy and is not eligible for remote work
  • The internship work term will be from September 7, 2026, to December 31, 2026, and with the ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week for the Fall/Winter Intern session 
  • Interns must be enrolled in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Hourly Range:  $22.50 – $25.50 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
