What You Can Expect
As an ISO (Independent System Operator) MAS (Market Analysis Support) Analyst, you will support our trading and risk teams by providing reports for real-time and historical data including pricing, bids, and market performance in order to support traders and compliance teams.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating dashboards allowing trade and risk team members to visualize data. On a continuous basis you will learn to:
- Create reports on relevant market data
- Suggest improvements to reporting and support processes
- Grow to support strategies for bidding and hedging
- Monitor markets trends, regulatory landscape, current risk levels, exposures, and other relevant sources of impacts, and propose volatility models, scenario analysis and stress tests for underlying retail supply portfolios
- Collaborate with Pricing, Supply, Hedging, Wholesale and Risk Team on the development and improvement of the risk metrics, and the proper representation of assets, positions, load types and associated risk
- Identify, build, and perform stress tests to determine the circumstances under which the business portfolio could incur material losses and assist in analyzing strategies to mitigate unwanted exposures
- Review reports to ensure positions, price curves, and settlement prices are accurately tracked and modeled
- Provide timely and accurate attribution of changes related to market movements and trading activities as it relates to supply and pricing optimization, including commentary on key economics
- Monitor positions against market risk metrics and limits and coordinate with the business and risk control regarding potential limit exposures, redistribution of risk and limit violations
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of a four-year degree in which you have gained an understanding of the energy industry.
- A minimum of two years of exposure to the energy industry, knowledge of python, excel, and the ability to manipulate data to understand trends.
- Knowledge of the renewable energy industry as well as a general understanding of ISO markets.
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; working minimum 3 days in the office
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;
Compensation
Salary Range: $74,900 – $114,770 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
