What You Can Expect
As our Data Analytics Senior, you will help support and improve operational performance by providing data-driven insights and building tools that track key processes. In this role, you’ll work with teams across Operations such as Customer Care, Collections, and Revenue Management and partner with groups like Sales and Pricing to understand performance trends, track metrics, and support business decisions. You’ll work on performance reporting tools, help maintain and improve dashboards, and support analysis that leads to better processes and customer outcomes. You’ll also contribute to company-wide reporting efforts, helping translate complex data into clear, actionable takeaways for the business.
This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Senior Advisor, Operations Data Analytics.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards that monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across Operations
- Use SQL, Power BI, and Excel to explore data, identify trends, and support decision-making
- Assist in the development and enhancement of existing reporting tools and systems
- Collaborate with teams across Operations and other departments to ensure shared understanding of performance goals and metrics
- Support ad hoc analysis requests and contribute to special projects as needed
- Help identify opportunities to improve processes or highlight risks using data insights
What You’ll Bring
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in business Economics, Finance, Math, Engineering. In lieu of a degree, we will accept a combination years of hands-on experience in business or operations-focused data
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a business or operations-focused data role
- You have a solid understanding of SQL (T-SQL or PL-SQL preferred) and experience working with relational databases
- You are proficient in Power BI, including creating dashboards, using DAX, and working with Power Query
- You have experience using Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting, with a preference for Power Query and Pivot Tables
- You are knowledgeable in PowerPoint and able to present findings in a clear and professional manner
- You are able to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively with others
- You have a strong interest in learning and growing within the energy industry and data analytics space
- You have previous experience in retail energy or working with CRM data
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; working 3 days in the office
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $88,800 – $136,045 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
