What You Can Expect

As a Cybersecurity Analyst II at ENGIE North America (ENA), based in Houston, Texas (Hybrid), you will be part of the Digital Security team, defending ENGIE’s digital assets and infrastructure through proactive monitoring, incident response, secure development practices, and oversight of AI risks to ensure the responsible use of emerging technologies.

You will serve as the first line of defense for ENGIE’s digital security operations, ensuring that threats are detected, analyzed, and mitigated in real time. Each day begins with logging into ENGIE’s core security platforms to perform system checks, review alerts, and validate security events. You will investigate anomalies, reach out to IT, business units, or end users, and take an active role in troubleshooting and remediation.

Approximately 75% of your time will focus on security operations and monitoring, while the remainder will be spent on projects that strengthen ENGIE’s cybersecurity posture such as developing repeatable playbooks, documenting work instructions, coordinating penetration testing, and advancing ENGIE’s AI security framework.

This role is ideal for a technologist who loves solving problems, someone who thrives on continuous learning, enjoys experimenting with cybersecurity tools, and is eager to transform security procedures into repeatable best practices. Your work will directly contribute to the resilience of ENGIE’s digital ecosystem, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and alignment with ENGIE Group’s global security strategy

Reporting to the Digital Security Manager, your duties will include:

  • Configure, monitor, and respond to alerts from platforms including CrowdStrike, Tenable, Splunk, Imperva, Hackuity, Prisma Cloud, BitSight, and Zscaler
  • Collaborate with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to ensure timely and effective threat mitigation
  • Document security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to post-incident reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement in incident response processes and playbooks
  • Integrate security into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for ENGIE applications (e.g., IoN), promoting secure coding practices, CI/CD pipeline security, and automated testing
  • Coordinate penetration testing schedules, liaise with internal and external teams, and track remediation efforts
  • Assess and mitigate AI-specific threats, ensuring the secure and responsible deployment of AI technologies
  • Support the development, maintenance, and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with at least two (2) years of relevant cybersecurity experience; an Associate degree with at least three (3) years of relevant cybersecurity experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant cybersecurity experience
  • Familiarity with threat detection and response platforms such as CrowdStrike, Tenable, Splunk, Imperva, Hackuity, Prisma Cloud, BitSight, and Zscaler
  • Strong understanding of incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation processes
  • Experience with secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline security and automated security testing
  • Knowledge of AI security risks and mitigation strategies
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of three (3) days in-office and two (2) days remote
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 15% of the time to industrial sites, including occasional overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
