What You Can Expect
As a Business Analyst Advisor based in Houston, Texas for ENGIE’s S&EM (Supply and Energy Management) Business Unit you will work closely with the Digital IT team supporting the application landscape that enables order to cash business operations. Every day, you will ensure the most effective utilization of the SaaS application landscape comprised primarily of a pricing and costing SaaS application and a commercial billing and invoicing SaaS application.
This role will be accountable to liaison between the business stakeholder groups and the Digital IT delivery team on the production stability of the applications; on vendor engagement and support; on new functionality requests and/or process optimization needs. This role will drive organizational alignment, engagement, and end-user adoption of the SaaS platforms ensuring the maximum utilization of the software applications to drive optimal business performance.
Reporting to the Application Management Director your roles and responsibilities include:
- Own and maintain accurate, up to date application training materials and business process documentation, ensuring alignment with current state systems, workflows, and operational practices
- Develop future state process documentation as needed when new functionality / workflows are released by the SaaS providers
- With the help of the business stakeholders, design and document functional process improvements as needed to ensure optimal application utilization
- Gather, document, analyze, and challenge functionality requests and requirements
- Collaborate with Digital Delivery team to evaluate options of technical solutions and assess their feasibility and impact on the business stakeholder groups
- In collaboration with the PMO function, document functional specification, user stories and system requirements as part of the enhancement delivery process
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholder groups and project delivery teams implementing application change
- Ensure adherence as it relates to data governance and internal controls as defined by the ENGIE compliance and controls teams
- Facilitate engagement and issue resolution on user requests, issues, and issue resolution between the business stakeholders and the SaaS vendors
- Identify bottleneck, inefficiencies and area of improvement in the solutions
- Providing effective and timely communication to all relevant teams
- Providing regular progress reports to the PMO
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline with a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in a Business Analyst or Project Manager role; or an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in a Business Analyst or Project Manager role
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Project, with the ability to create presentations, manage documentation, and support project tracking and collaboration
- Proficient experience with process mapping documentation using tools like Visio or Lucid
- Excellent communication skills, highly competent presenter, able to gain credibility, engender trust and influence all levels, strong partnering skills, adaptability
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy consisting of three (3) days in the office and two (2) days remote
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $117,300 – $179,860 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
