  • Manage revenue accounting activities for EEMNA’s energy trading business, including revenue reconciliations, journal entries, gross margin reporting, and reconciliation of data from commercial and trading systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of energy gross margin and associated balance sheet accounts, including accruals, revenue recognition, inventory, and intercompany activity.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, in collaboration with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to identify and explain variances, trends, and risks.

  • Ensure compliance with ENGIE Group accounting policies, U.S. GAAP, internal control frameworks, and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Design, maintain, and improve internal controls over financial reporting, including control documentation, reconciliations, testing support, remediation of control gaps, and audit readiness.
  • Act as a key finance contact and internal audit liaison for internal audits, external audits, control reviews, and regulatory requests, ensuring timely and high-quality responses.
  • Analyze new data sources and evolving business processes to identify root causes, troubleshoot reporting challenges, and create practical solutions where established procedures may not exist.
  • Lead finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives involving process standardization, system implementations, reporting optimization, automation, and evaluation of AI-enabled solutions.

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements and explaining financial variances and business impacts.
  • Experience supporting revenue accounting, commodity accounting, or accounting activities within an energy trading, commodity trading, or similarly complex commercial environment.
  • Experience supporting internal controls, financial-control frameworks, audit activities, reconciliations, or control testing.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience identifying root causes and establishing processes in ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple time-sensitive close and reporting deliverables, and maintain a high degree of accuracy under compressed deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting analytical findings, accounting issues, and recommended solutions to business and finance stakeholders.
