ENGIE continues to expand its renewable generation, energy management, and infrastructure portfolio. We are looking to network with talented accounting leaders who can drive financial excellence, lead teams, support strategic growth initiatives, and champion process improvement across complex business environments.
What you’ll do:
Accounting leaders at ENGIE are responsible for overseeing financial reporting, controls, compliance, and operational accounting activities while developing high-performing teams and supporting business objectives.
Core Leadership Responsibilities
Lead and develop accounting teams through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and applicable accounting standards
Partner with business leaders, Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Commercial, and Operations teams
Drive process optimization, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
Oversee account reconciliations, journal entries, balance sheet reviews, and financial controls
Support internal and external audit activities and regulatory reporting requirements
Manage accounting risk, compliance requirements, and internal control frameworks
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Lead change management initiatives associated with system, process, and organizational improvements

What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- For Director level roles a CPA will be required
- Progressive accounting leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience leading and developing accounting professionals
- Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment
Specialized experience that interests us:
- Experience within energy, utilities, renewables, infrastructure, or commodity-based industries
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, BlackLine, or similar enterprise systems
- Experience leading finance transformation or automation initiatives
- Experience with complex legal entity structures, joint ventures, or project-based accounting
Typical Experience requirements by Level
- Accounting Manager: A minimum of seven (7) years of accounting experience with leadership responsibilities
- Senior Advisor: A minimum of ten (10) years of accounting experience with demonstrated team leadership
- Director: A minimum of ten (10) years of accounting experience including strategic leadership and organizational impact
Additional Information:
- Must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
- Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally on limited occasions
- Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing

- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
