What You Can Expect

As our Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for general ledger accounting and reporting activities for the Retail Energy Industry.

 

You will:

 

  • Perform monthly and annual closing processes for assigned entities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting
  • Perform accounting, prepare monthly operating reports, manage cash flow, for Supply group
  • Develop processes, drive continuous improvement, coordinate requirements upstream and downstream in the organization
  • Interface with external auditors and preparation of financial schedules and required requests
  • Assist Performance Control Analyst in the preparation of annual budget and annual long-term forecast
  • Perform ad-hoc projects as needed, including those which may involve complex or advanced accounting concepts
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5 years relevant accounting industry experience or 3 years public accounting experience

  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Work in time sensitive environment; maybe outside of usual US business hours
  • Prior experience in the retail energy sector is highly desirable
  • You possess a CPA or have the desire to become certified or in progress towards certification
  • You have accounting and financial reporting skills, complemented by expertise in Microsoft Excel and a solid proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and SAP
  • You possess analytical and problem-solving skills, essential for effective financial analysis and decision-making
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are self-motivated, enabling you to communicate effectively with internal customers and external auditors, fostering professional relationship
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $90,405 – $120, 540 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
