Mission
- You will be a player throughout the execution of our marine infrastructure projects
- You carry out design work under supervision of the project leader
- You are responsible for the implementation and execution of CAD modelling for our marine infrastructure projects
- You assist the project engineer in dimensioning marine infrastructure projects following current Belgian and European standards, legislation, codes of practice and internal guidelines.
- Prepare designs (preliminary, basis, tender, detailed) for marine structures such as Port & waterways development studies: Port Master planning, locks, Quay walls, Jetties, Bridge foundations, Flooding areas, dikes, Breakwaters and perform analyses to find the optimum installation method of these structures; always with an open mind for innovative and alternative solutions.
- You set up and follow up developments in CAD systems for our product line water
- You set up and follow BIM developments in CAD systems for our product line water
- You follow the rules and regulations of planning permission drafting guidelines (“omgevingsvergunning”)
- You communicate with other project members
- You are reporting to the project leader and your team manager
- You keep up with standards, new techniques and developments in your discipline
- Ensure knowledge development and sharing related to your expertise
Profile
- You graduated as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, bachelor in architecture, bachelor in engineering in architecture, Bachelor in Engineering and Technology or equivalent through work experience
- You have a specific interest in applying the relevant design codes and guidelines for the structural design and soil-structure interaction of offshore substructures or other marine infrastructure
- You have experience of designing and drafting marine infrastructure works in 3D drafting software (Revit, Autocad 2D)
- You have experience in designing concrete reinforcement for 3D structures.
- Experience in Civil 3D is an asset.
- Knowledge of Design Standards (ISO, EC, NEN, EAU, …)
- Knowledge of standards for Building Consent (omgevingsvergunning) in Flanders (Belgium) is an asset
- You are analytical and precise.

Software knowledge
- Expertise of CAD software (2D & 3D) (Autocad, Revit)
- Experience in concrete reinforcement software (Revit or Autocad or Strakon)
- Experience in BIM document sharing
- You have proficient knowledge of standard computer programs including spreadsheets and word processing.
Languages
You have a good command of at least one of the following languages, with excellent writing skills:– English - Dutch
