Tractebel is, as a consultancy agency, occupied with many impressive and complex projects in nuclear development, Global Power and Infrastructure. In order to bring these projects to a satisfying end, we mostly count on our savvy engineers and designers, whose task it is to design these projects and to bring them a step closer to reality.
As a BIM-Designer, you will mostly work together with our “Ports & Waterways” team, which specialises in harbour engineering and waterways infrastructure, with projects all over Belgium. These projects consist of (but are not exclusive to): quay walls, locks, harbour expansion, dikes, bridges, tunnels, etc. Our talented team develops all aspects of a project, from the feasability study to the detailed design and so much more, all in close collaboration with the client.
What will be your mission?
- The implementation and execution of BIM modelling for our marine infrastructure projects
- Assisting the project engineer in dimensioning marine infrastructure projects following current Belgian and European standards, legislation, codes of practice and internal guidelines
- Preparing designs and finding the optimum installation methods (preliminary, basis, tender, detailed) for marine structures such as port & waterways development studies: port master planning, locks, quay walls, jetties, dikes, breakwaters
- Setting and following up development in BIM systems for our product line Water Engineering, and you develop and improve the BIM tools and processes in cooperation with the team
- Supporting the engineers and CAD designers
- Setting up BIM protocols in tender phase
- Working with Revit
