Site Safety and Security Team Leader  (Senior) (M/V/X)

ENGIE Generation Europe – BGB Entity (Bruges – Ghent – Brussels)

Do you want to play a key role in securing and protecting sites in an industrial environment?
Join ENGIE Generation Europe as  a Senior Team Leader, Site Safety and Security.

In this role, you will take charge of the Site Safety and Security team within the BGB entity and actively contribute to the construction of a strong security culture across multiple sites. You combine operational involvement with a strategic vision and work closely with operations, maintenance, projects and management.

You are also the first point of contact for site security and ensure that ENGIE's safety and security rules are properly applied and respected.

Your responsibilities as a Site Safety and Security Team Leader (M/F/X)

  • You will manage the Site Safety and Security team (4 FTEs) and continue to build a high-performance and future-oriented organization.
  • You will develop and integrate a proactive safety and security policy within BGB, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • You ensure compliance with the legislation, rules and standards of the ENGIE Group (o.a. ISO 45001) and translate them into pragmatic solutions in the workplace.
  • You act as a trusted advisor and expert in safety and prevention at work.
  • You coordinate the site's security policy (access control, camera surveillance, critical installations and management by subcontractors).
  • You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and strengthen cooperation on safety and security.
  • You support the operational teams and have a visible presence on the sites.
  • You lead incident investigations and turn safety data into concrete actions with tangible impact.

You make sure that safety is not an obligation, but a reflex. Thanks to your leadership and expertise, together we create a work environment where everyone goes home safely every day.

Your profile as Site Safety and Security Team Leader (M/F/X)

You have a technical background and experience in safety, prevention or site security in an industrial environment.

  • You are a level 1 or 2 prevention advisor and you feel completely at home in the legislation and safety standards.
  • You are a firm believer in the importance of safety and know how to inspire and take others with you.
  • You combine a hands-on approach with a helicopter view and feel energy from being present in the workplace.
  • You communicate fluently and build bridges between different teams and stakeholders.
  • You think solution-oriented and translate complex materials into clear and actionable actions.
  • You take responsibility, show initiative and enjoy working together towards a common goal.
  • You are flexible to move from one site to another and communicate fluently in Dutch, with a good foundation in English (French is a bonus).

  • A key role with an impact within a strategic entity of ENGIE.
  • The opportunity to strengthen security and safety on several complex industrial sites.

    • Monthly indexation of your base salary
