Are you ready for a key role at ENGIE where you’re not only operationally responsible, but also help shape the strategic direction of our sites? Then this is your chance.

As Operations Entity Manager (M/F/X) for the sites Herdersbrug, Drogenbos, Vilvoorde, and Schaarbeek, you will become a full member of the management team of BGB (Bruges-Ghent-Brussels).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Operations Manager

  • You represent ENGIE in all major decisions and discussions, managing your sites with care — focusing on people, processes, and results.
  • You are the face of the site: the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, and the spokesperson for ENGIE.
  • You combine operational leadership with strategic insight: optimizing processes while contributing to the future of our production units.
  • You lead a team of around 30 shift workers and are a coaching leader who promotes collaboration, safety, and growth.
  • You represent ENGIE in consultative bodies such as the Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work (CPBW) and the Works Council (OR), and you participate in the BGB operations on-call service.
  • You work closely with colleagues within BGB and TBE North to strengthen synergies and share knowledge.

YOUR PROFILE as Operations Manager

  • An experienced leader with an engineering degree (industrial or civil) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the energy sector and 5 years in people management.
  • A strong communicator, networker, and team player with a passion for both technology and people.
  • Someone who understands operational processes but also sees the bigger picture.
  • Fluent in Dutch, with a good command of French and English.
  • And above all: someone with growth potential who is ready to take the next step within ENGIE.

WE OFFER YOU as Operations Manager

  • A meaningful mission:
At ENGIE, you don’t just work on projects — you actively help shape the energy system of tomorrow. You play a key role in realizing concrete onshore wind and battery projects that contribute to the transition to a carbon-neutral economy in the Benelux.
  • Advanced training through ENGIE University:
These help you develop your knowledge of our various activities and give you the opportunity to acquire new hard and/or soft skills.
  • A competitive salary package with numerous extra-legal benefits:
  • A tax-optimized bonus plan
  • Hospitalization and medical expense insurance
  • An attractive pension plan
  • Meal vouchers
  • A green (electric) company car with charging card for Belgium and neighboring countries, or a green alternative via our mobility plan
  • A public transport subscription
  • A healthy work-life balance with 34 vacation days and the possibility to work from home up to 2 days per week
  • A warm welcome in a dynamic and caring organization
committed to well-being, where employees can be themselves, and which is EDGE-certified. EDGE-certified organizations have demonstrated their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and are assessed according to the highest global standards.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • CV screening based on key criteria
  • In-depth interview with HR (1 hour)
  • Online assessment (Hudson – 1 hour)
  • Interview with the hiring manager
