We’re on the hunt for a Data Analyst who thrives in a dynamic, data-driven environment. You'll be instrumental in designing and developing Power Platform solutions that support our business intelligence goals—helping us transform data into powerful insights and automation.
Join us as a Data Analyst Intern at EMS (European Maintenance Services, part of ENGIE Generation Europe) which is responsible for the specialized maintenance of power plant turbines, alternators, high-voltage installations and boilers, among others. In a very operational environment you will have the chance to discover new skills in Data analytics.
YOUR ROLE as a Data Analyst Intern:
Your journey with us will encompass:
- Data Capture & Integration
- Design and manage automated data flows using Power Automate (e.g. SharePoint, Excel, HTTP services, SQL)
- Build intuitive, low-code/no-code applications in Power Apps for data entry and validation
- Data Modeling & Processing
- Design and maintain robust Power BI data models (tables, relationships, DAX formulas)
- Transform raw datasets with Power Query and Dataflows
- Visualization & Reporting
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI tailored to different stakeholder needs
- Implement KPI tracking and monitoring systems
- Analysis & Advisory
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Maintenance & Optimization
- Ensure data solutions are accurate, secure, and high-performing
- Continuously improve and refine Power Platform solutions and processes
YOUR PROFILE as a Data Analyst Intern:
- A student in a degree with focus on Data, where the internship is part of your curriculum.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling and you are familiar with SQL and relational databases.
- Added value if you can bring hands-on experience in Power Automate for workflow automation and data integration or building business apps with Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-driven)
- You have an analytical mindset: Strong quantitative skills and knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and have a keen eye for data quality and identifying anomalies or patterns.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English and have the ability to translate complex data insights into clear, non-technical language.
- You are proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven
- Curious and eager to learn about the latest technologies and trends in data & analytics
- A true team player who thrives in multidisciplinary environments

PRACTICAL:
- Offices are in ENGIE Rodenhuize, Energiestraat 2, 9042 Gent. You are able to get there on a daily basis by yourself.
- Possible starting date: flexible
- Duration of internship: flexible, 3-6 months minimum.
- No remuneration included since this is part of your education. We do offer a reimbursement of transportation costs.
