Your Mission
As a Commissioning Engineer in our Energy team at Tractebel, you play a key role in validating the performance and safety of complex systems and installations across large-scale infrastructure projects. You ensure that all systems are tested, integrated, and ready for operation in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.
Your key responsibilities
- Plan and execute commissioning activities for electrical systems (e.g. substations, OHLs);
- Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation of installed equipment;
- Collaborate with design engineers, contractors, and site teams to ensure technical compliance;
- Prepare and review commissioning documentation, test protocols, and reports;
- Monitor and verify system integration and operational readiness;
- Support client handover processes and provide technical input during final acceptance;
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout commissioning;
- Participate in site inspections and provide technical assistance during installation phases;
- Identify and resolve commissioning-related issues in coordination with project stakeholders.
We would love to hear from people with
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering;
- Proven experience in commissioning activities for energy or infrastructure projects;
- Strong understanding of testing procedures, instrumentation, and system integration;
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations;
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of commissioning tools and platforms is a plus;
- Availability for project-based work (contract duration depending on project timeline);
- Fluency in English;
