Socio-Environmental Analyst II

We are seeking a Socio-Environmental Analyst II to work on the socioeconomic aspects of our energy projects. You will be responsible for fostering dialogue with communities, managing stakeholders, and implementing social programs that make a real difference. Your Responsibilities

  • Manage environmental socioeconomic programs, from planning to field implementation, including social communication, environmental education, public-private partnerships, and the management of historical and cultural heritage.
  • Lead stakeholder management activities, including stakeholder mapping, identification of risks and opportunities, and the development of action plans through continuous engagement and dialogue.
  • Implement private social investment initiatives, both mandatory and voluntary, as well as sponsorships and donations aligned with the Company's strategy.
  • Participate in the planning of projects related to environmental licensing, preparing budgets, schedules, and analyses of legal requirements within the socioeconomic context.
  • Support crisis prevention and management by identifying sensitive situations and stakeholders that may affect projects under development or the Company’s reputation.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, contribute information to the Sustainability Report, and participate in Sustainability Committee initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Conduct on-site technical inspections, verify impact mitigation measures, and participate in meetings with environmental licensing authorities and contracted companies.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Geography, Business Administration, Biology, or Law.
  • Intermediate knowledge of project management and stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of environmental licensing processes and national environmental legislation.
  • Knowledge of international standards and certifications such as IFC Performance Standards, the Equator Principles, and similar frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and public speaking skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Curious and dynamic profile, with strong critical thinking and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Preferred: knowledge of ArcGIS and intermediate English proficiency.

Location

Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil — ENGIE Brasil Energia, PLP Department. The position requires availability for travel.
