Regulation and Market Analyst III

As a Regulation and Market Analyst III, you will play a strategic role in developing regulatory solutions for both new projects and existing assets. Your work will connect regulation, market dynamics, and business development within one of the largest energy companies in the country.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare technical contributions to support legislative and regulatory improvements proposed by Brazilian electricity sector authorities.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations established in concession and authorization acts, as well as sector regulations.
- Support the development of new business opportunities by providing regulatory guidance for participation in auctions and project commissioning.
- Represent the company in technical forums, industry associations, and electricity sector institutions.
- Prepare opinions and recommendations on business model design and propose regulatory changes through industry organizations.
- Manage and enhance regulatory platforms for public consultations, administrative proceedings, and legislative bills.
- Assess and recommend the company's position on strategic legislative and regulatory discussions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Exact Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, or related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of the technical and economic regulation of the Brazilian electricity sector.
- Intermediate experience in regulatory solutions for Generation and Energy Trading projects.
- Knowledge of risk analysis, economic and financial feasibility studies, and project management.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Multidisciplinary profile, with the ability to work across both market and regulatory topics.
- Strong attention to deadlines, emotional maturity, and negotiation skills.
- Preferred qualification: experience with optimization modeling or exposure to electricity price models.
