Business Development Specialist II

We are seeking a professional to support the development of new business opportunities in power generation. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying opportunities, structuring projects, and coordinating across different areas to enable ventures that drive our growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and structure growth opportunities in power generation, expanding the company’s portfolio.
  • Lead the definition of technical, regulatory, environmental, and economic-financial assumptions for projects.
  • Technically coordinate multidisciplinary teams and foster integration across departments, ensuring alignment, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal and external stakeholders, leading negotiations and alignment efforts throughout the project development cycle.
  • Structure feasibility and risk analyses, preparing materials to support internal investment approvals and decision-making processes.
  • Monitor land regularization processes, environmental licensing, auction qualification activities, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Track project progress through executive reports, performance indicators, and schedules, supporting the transition to implementation and operation.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or related Applied Social Sciences and Exact Sciences fields.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in the development and structuring of power generation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the Brazilian electricity sector, including regulatory aspects and energy trading rules.
  • Experience in investment analysis, risk assessment, and techno-economic-financial feasibility studies.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, with the ability to participate in meetings and present or defend projects in an international corporate environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and executive presentations.
  • Behavioral competencies: emotional intelligence, assertive communication, strategic thinking, and a proactive mindset.
  • Preferred: Postgraduate degree (MBA) in Project Management, Renewable Energy, Finance, or related fields.
