We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled C&I Engineer on a 24 month Fixed Term Contract, to support our operations and maintenance teams at Storengy UK.

 

 

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the safe and efficient running of our gas storage assets while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

 

About the Role

As a C&I Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our control and instrumentation systems. You will provide expert technical support across site projects, operations, and maintenance activities, helping to protect personnel, plant, and the environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Provide technical support for C&I systems, including maintenance planning and troubleshooting.
  • Design and implement site modifications under controlled processes.
  • Support project handovers and challenge contractor proposals.
  • Drive continuous improvement and manage obsolescence in C&I systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure automation systems meet OG86 and company standards.
  • Manage procurement and contractor relationships for C&I services.

 


 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in operational site or design office C&I engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety (IEC 61511) and Hazardous Areas (IEC 60079-14).
  • Familiarity with DCS systems, alarm management, and documentation control.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control & Instrumentation or related engineering field.
  • CompEx12 and TÜV Functional Safety certification (advantageous).
