Finance Performance Analyst

Purpose of the Role

The Finance Performance Analyst plays a key role in driving the performance of the Order-to-Cash (O2C), Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes over the long term. The position is responsible for defining, documenting, monitoring and enhancing Finance performance indicators, while translating operational and accounting requirements into clear functional specifications for the Performance, Operations and IT teams.

The role also supports the standardization of practices, the reliability of management data and the continuous improvement of Finance processes.

Main Responsibilities

KPI Management and Governance

• Define, maintain and evolve process KPIs.
• Ensure the consistency, reliability and usability of indicators across business teams.
• Align KPIs with Finance priorities and operational performance objectives.
• Contribute to the deployment of reporting frameworks and performance management standards.

Functional Analysis and Documentation

• Gather and analyze business requirements.
• Draft detailed functional and operational specifications.
• Maintain documentation covering indicators, business rules and calculation methodologies.
• Create and maintain the related data dictionaries.

Continuous Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to optimize Finance processes.
• Recommend actions to improve data quality and operational performance.
• Take part in Finance transformation and process digitalization initiatives.
• Contribute to the standardization of practices across the Group.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with Finance, Performance, Operations and IT stakeholders.
• Participate in workshops and governance forums.
• Support testing and user acceptance activities for system enhancements.
• Monitor the implementation of recommendations and corrective actions.

Accountabilities

• Ensure the quality and relevance of the KPI repository.
• Ensure business definitions and calculation rules are properly documented and consistently applied.
• Contribute to performance analyses designed to improve Finance processes.
• Promote a data-driven approach to Finance performance management.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of operational accounting and Finance processes.
• Solid knowledge of O2C, I2P and R2R processes.
• Proficiency in reporting and performance management tools.
• Knowledge of ERP environments (SAP and satellite tools).
• Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and specifications.
• Proficiency in Excel and, ideally, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP BO, etc.).

Candidate Profile

• Degree-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, Management Control or a related discipline.
• At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in operational accounting, Finance performance or process management.
• Proven experience defining, monitoring or improving Finance KPIs.
• Experience in Finance transformation projects would be an advantage.
