Job Purpose/Mission 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Intern Financial Accountant. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial accounting processes within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The intern will work closely with our finance team and contribute to various aspects of financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Support the reconciliation of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Aid in the analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in conducting financial audits and compliance reviews as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Help maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the finance team.

 

Knowledge and skills 

 

Experience:

  • Fresh graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 0–1 year experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Banking and Finance or another related field.

 

Language(s): 

  • English
  • Swahili

 

Technology:

  • Experience in both accounting and basic technology required for the role
