At ENGIE, we are accelerating the energy transition by harnessing the power of renewable resources.  First Hydro Company operates some of the UK's most impressive pumped-storage hydroelectric assets. We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator to ensure our iconic sites remain safe, compliant, and operationally excellent — supporting the people and infrastructure that keep clean energy flowing.

This is a hands-on coordination role responsible for overseeing day-to-day facilities services, contractor performance, statutory and fire compliance activities, and the delivery of facilities-related works and improvements.

Providing operational coordination, reporting to support safe, efficient and legally compliant management of buildings, infrastructure and associated services, working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and specialist advisors.

You will work at the heart of a collaborative team, ensuring buildings and services meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Summary of what you will do

  • Coordinate day-to-day facilities services across First Hydro Company sites, managing inspections, maintenance contracts, and building fabric upkeep.
  • Oversee contractor performance, ensuring risk assessments, method statements, and health and safety documentation are in place and compliant.
  • Coordinate fire safety compliance activities alongside the First Hydro Fire Officer, maintaining fixed fire systems and passive fire protection measures.
  • Manage small to medium contractor-led projects, monitoring progress, quality, cost, and completion against requirements.
  • Maintain statutory inspection records and compliance actions, ensuring audit-readiness and escalating overdue or high-risk items.
  • Track facilities performance indicators, identify trends, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and specialist advisors to deliver coordinated services.

What you will bring to the role

  • Proven facilities management experience in an industrial or power station environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, fire risk assessment reviews, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, including managing permits, site rules, and health and safety documentation.
  • Education to A-Level or HND level as a minimum, with strong written and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and maintenance management systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities methodically and accurately.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solving.

Location

This role will be primarily based at Dinorwig Power Station, Llanberis, North Wales.  However some travel to our other sites in North Wales will be required.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at one of the UK's most remarkable engineering sites.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary with clear career development pathways within ENGIE's global renewables business.
  • A diverse range of missions across facilities management, fire safety, compliance, and project coordination.
  • Stimulating work in a unique industrial environment at the forefront of the energy transition.
  • A friendly, supportive team culture where your contribution is valued and your profile grows.
  • Flexibility where possible to support your work-life balance within operational requirements.
  • Access to professional development, training opportunities, and ENGIE's wider employee benefits.
