Position Mission: Ensure, improve, and maintain the proper functioning of natural gas metering systems to ensure accurate volumetric billing, as well as control and mitigate risks associated with metering and processes to reduce errors or incorrect results that affect the quality of the metering service.
Your Impact: As HEAD OF MEASUREMENT, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to our mission by performing the following key functions:
Prepare and deliver biweekly and/or monthly reports of Master Measurement Files, make Reports corresponding to the Gas Imbalance and Unaccounted Gas
Establish specifications for materials and equipment related to regulation, measurement, gas quality, and odorization.
Validate and capture the calorific value of natural gas for the current month in the SAP system. Ensure that technical personnel are qualified to operate city gates, regulation stations, and measurement, chromatography, and odorization systems.
Manage, control, and mitigate risks associated with measurement and processes to reduce errors or incorrect results that affect the quality of the measurement service.
Comply with internal and external rules and procedures regarding Quality, Safety, Occupational Health and the Environment that apply, according to the duties of the position.
Requirements: To join our team as HEAD OF MEASUREMENT, we are looking for:
- Education and Experience: Industrial, Petroleum, Chemical, Electromechanical, Mechanical, Instrumentation Engineer, 5 years of experience in similar activities.
- Technical Skills: Flow meters (volumetric, turbine, ultrasonic, rotary, diaphragm), Gas chromatographs for composition analysis, Volume and energy correction systems (flow computers, correction units), Pressure, temperature, level and flow meters, Smart and multivariable transmitters, Instrumentation signals (pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic), SCADA, PLC and DCS systems, Control loops, feedback, PID controllers, Knowledge of local and international regulations (AGA, API, ENARGAS, ANH), Application of safety, quality and metrology standards, Evaluation of contaminants, dew point, calorific value, Use of on-line analyzers and sample conditioners, Selection and installation of equipment, Preventive and corrective maintenance, Evaluation of operating conditions (pressure, temperature, flow).
- Key Competencies: Technical project management, Operational data analysis skills, Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, Technical training and leadership.
