Context

ENGIE ONE B2B is the commercial entity of the ENGIE Group dedicated to professional customers — corporations, public authorities and industrial players — covering the sale and management of energy solutions (gas, electricity, energy efficiency services, flexibility).

In a context of accelerating energy transition and increasing competitive pressure on B2B markets, ENGIE ONE B2B is embarking on a major digital transformation to modernise its information systems, strengthen its data orientation and improve commercial and operational efficiency.

The IT transformation agenda is structured around three strategic programmes, for which the Enterprise Architect is the overall guardian of architectural coherence:

  • BeeStone — Core system transformation: contract management, billing, energy operations (back-office & middle-office).

  • InfiniSales — Commercial & CRM transformation: unified sales platform, commercial performance management, sales process automation.

  • One Pulse — Data & Analytics transformation: unified data platform, 360° B2B customer view, data mesh, MDM and data governance.

The Enterprise Architecture function, anchored in the Group Digital IT policy, ensures the coherence, robustness and sustainability of the ENGIE ONE B2B application landscape. The Enterprise Architect holds a dual accountability: towards the Group (representing ENGIE ONE B2B in Group Digital IT architecture bodies) and internally (sole owner of the enterprise architecture practice).

Your Mission

As Enterprise Architect ENGIE ONE B2B, your key objectives are:

  • Own the enterprise architecture practice within ENGIE ONE B2B: governance, tooling and community.

  • Define and maintain the as-is and to-be application landscape of ENGIE ONE B2B.

  • Ensure architectural coherence across BeeStone, InfiniSales and One Pulse.

  • Represent ENGIE ONE B2B in Group Digital IT architecture bodies (Group Architecture Board).

  • Lead the data architecture and data governance in support of the One Pulse programme.

  • Define the transformation and legacy decommissioning roadmap.

  • Act as a trusted business partner for leadership on digital transformation topics.

Your main activities:

Architecture Governance — Organise and chair Architecture Review Boards (ARB); own the Architecture Decision Record (ADR) process; represent ENGIE ONE B2B in Group Architecture Bodies; ensure compliance with Group Digital IT standards and policies.

BeeStone — Define and validate application and integration architecture; lead the decommissioning strategy for legacy applications; enforce resilience and high-availability requirements on core business systems.

InfiniSales — Validate CRM platform architecture choices and integration patterns; ensure connectivity between commercial front-office and back-office (BeeStone); supervise data flow architecture feeding analytics tools.

One Pulse — Lead end-to-end data architecture (ingestion, storage, transformation, exposure); define data architecture patterns (data mesh, lakehouse, data contracts); frame the unified customer repository and Master Data Management architecture.

IT Landscape & Target Architecture — Define and maintain the ENGIE ONE B2B target application architecture in LeanIX; define the transformation roadmap including sequencing, dependencies and investment priorities; own the decommissioning strategy for legacy systems.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a rare profile combining three key dimensions: high-level enterprise architecture expertise, strong functional knowledge in B2B business, and strong engagement capacity with business leadership.

Enterprise & Solution Architecture

  • Mastery of EA practices: governance, patterns, tooling (LeanIX strongly recommended).

  • Leading architecture governance processes: ARB, ADR, standards definition.

  • Defining target architectures and managing transformation roadmaps; legacy modernisation and decommissioning strategy.

  • Integration architectures: APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture.

Data Architecture (differentiating dimension — senior level required)

  • Data architecture patterns: data lakehouse, data mesh, data fabric, data contracts & APIs.

  • Data governance: MDM, data quality, data lineage, data catalog, Customer 360°, GDPR and data security.

  • Cloud data platforms: Azure Synapse, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake or equivalent.

  • BI & reporting architecture (Power BI); ML/AI architecture, MLOps, data preparation for Generative AI.

Additional Knowledge

  • Cloud and hybrid infrastructure (Azure / AWS).

  • Cybersecurity principles and Group compliance frameworks.

  • Knowledge of the B2B energy sector (strong asset).

Soft Skills & Professional Posture

  • Business engagement & leadership — ability to build trust with C-levels and commercial directors, initiate strategic conversations and advocate architecture recommendations with authority and clarity.

  • Communication & influence — ability to make architecture accessible to non-technical audiences; strong alignment capability without direct hierarchical authority.

  • Rigour & delivery orientation — strong ownership, personal accountability and delivery focus; autonomous and reliable.

  • Community leadership — capacity to lead and grow an architecture community; comfortable in international and multicultural environments.

Language requirements (mandatory): Fluent English and French are both required for this role.

Education & Certifications

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering (required).

  • Enterprise Architecture certification: TOGAF or equivalent (strong asset).

  • Data Architecture: DAMA CDMP or equivalent certification (strong asset).

  • Cloud certification: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS or equivalent (asset).

Experience

  • 12+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in enterprise architecture across complex, multi-programme environments.

  • Proven track record in digital transformation contexts with a strong data dimension.

  • Experience leading transformation programmes with significant business impact.

  • Experience in data-intensive sectors: energy, utilities, industry, B2B or equivalent (strong asset).

Why join us?

Joining ENGIE ONE B2B means taking on one of the most strategic architecture roles in the ENGIE Group, at the heart of a major digital transformation programme encompassing three large-scale programmes — BeeStone, InfiniSales and One Pulse.

You will operate in a high-autonomy environment with direct impact on Group-level decisions, as the sole owner of the enterprise architecture practice for ENGIE ONE B2B, with a dual reporting line to the CIO ENGIE ONE B2B and the Group Digital IT Architecture Practice.
