Energy Portfolio Management Specialist

We are seeking an Energy Portfolio Management Specialist to act as the corporate decision-maker for the allocation and commercialization of generated energy. In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing the financial performance of the energy portfolio, connecting generation, commercial activities, and trading with intelligence and agility.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the overall energy portfolio received from generation assets, consolidating available physical energy and ensuring alignment between generation, contracts, and commercial positions.
- Define energy allocation strategies between the customer market and trading activities for horizons ranging from Y+1 to Y+4, aiming to maximize financial results.
- Propose target prices for energy commercialization by submarket, customer segment, and energy source, including the pricing of attributes and contractual options.
- Be accountable for the portfolio’s financial result (PnL), considering price, volume, hedging, and market exposure.
- Contribute to the development of risk limit mandates, ensuring compliance with corporate risk management policies.
- Provide strategic guidance to the trading team regarding the execution of allocation decisions, hedging strategies, and tactical position adjustments.
- Continuously monitor portfolio positions, identifying surpluses, deficits, spreads, and risks, and making real-time adjustment decisions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Exact Sciences field.
- Strong knowledge of the Brazilian electricity market rules and commercialization procedures, including CCEE regulations.
- Solid experience in energy planning, price formation, and power system operation models.
- Knowledge of risk management and analysis, optimization techniques, and economic-financial feasibility assessments.
- Proficiency in programming languages and algorithms applied to the energy sector.
- Advanced English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts fluently.
- A postgraduate degree in Energy Systems, Finance, or Economics, as well as previous team leadership experience, is considered an advantage.
