About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Works Supervisor to join our Pelican Point Battery Energy Storage System (PP-BESS) Project team.

This is a Fixed-Term Contract role intended to support key deliverables over an estimated period of approximately 18–24 months. Please note that while the role is project-driven, timelines may shift based on business needs. You will play a key role in coordinating contractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to ENGIE’s health, safety, and environmental standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and monitor electrical construction and commissioning activities on site.
  • Coordinate activities between contractors to minimise disruption and maintain project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with ENGIE’s HSE requirements and regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes and manage corrective actions.
  • Report on project progress and support schedule management.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including contractors, regulatory bodies, and the local community.
  • Support risk identification and mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with payment claim reviews and industrial relations issues as required.

 

 

About you

You are a proactive and safety-focused professional with strong technical expertise and leadership skills. You thrive in dynamic environments, can manage multiple priorities, and are passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes in renewable energy projects.

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Communications Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., Certificate II or III in Electrical or Communications).
  • Construction White Card.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction site operations within heavy engineering or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, grid connection, SCADA, and communications.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools.
