We’re looking for a technically savvy and consultative Business Developer who thrives on meaningful conversations - not just quick sales. You’ll work closely with clients in the utilities and Oil & Gas sectors to deeply understand their operational challenges and co-create solutions that deliver real business impact for the customers.
In this new role, you’ll help diversify our customer base across the UAE (excluding KSA) and key Asian countries (Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam) by connecting customers with cutting-edge technical services.

About ENGIE Laborelec Middle East
The Laborelec Middle East team is composed of 25 women and men, essentially Subject Matter Experts, Project Managers and Business developers. You will join a team of two Business Developers focusing on Saudi Arabia and report to the Regional Head of Sales.
Your responsibilities as Solutions Business Developer
You be focusing on:
1. Engage with Purpose

- Build trust-based relationships with key stakeholders in utilities and Oil & Gas.
- Use your network to secure meetings with decision-makers and initiate strategic conversations.
- Be present in the field—on the road, at the table, and in the plant.
2. Understand Before You Propose

- Lead technical discussions to uncover operational pain points.
- Translate customer needs into clear, actionable insights for internal teams.
- Ensure every proposal is aligned with the customer’s business goals and constraints.
3. Co-Create Solutions
-
- Work hand-in-hand with technical experts to design customized service offerings.
- Act as the voice of the customer within the organization.
- Prioritize long-term value over short-term wins.
4. Drive Strategic Growth

- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to market development.
- Support the full sales cycle—from opportunity identification to contract negotiation.
- Represent our capabilities at industry events, workshops, and client meetings.
You will be positioning services in the following domains: Asset Management, Boilers and HRSG Inspection, Root Cause Analysis, Vibration Monitoring & Interventions, Desalination & RO, Condition Monitoring, Battery Storage.
Typical customers you will be targeting are TAQA, TRANSCO & Distribution companies, DEWA, Emirates Global Aluminium, ENGIE Plants (we have the network), Sembcorp, Marubeni, …
Your profile as Solutions Business Developer
You may be our future colleague if you have:
- Engineering degree with 5 years of experience in the energy or utilities sector, ideally in operations, maintenance, or technical roles. A Business Developer experience is not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a growing network in the utilities or Oil & Gas industries, with the ability to engage decision-makers.
- Consultative mindset: focused on understanding customer challenges and co-developing impactful solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical needs into actionable insights. Your are fluent in English.
- Self-driven and mobile, able to manage priorities independently and willing to travel frequently.
