OHL DESIGN REVIEW ENGINEER

Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Previous experience of minimum 10-15 Years as Consultant / EPC  is required

Experience in Substation Projects -  132kV, 220kV & 400kV  Level.

Job Description

• Should have knowledge of all relevant standards and guidelines i.e. TRANSCO, OETC, ADDC, SEC and KSA standards including the Grid Codes, IEC, IEEE, International guidelines etc.
• Capable to conduct site survey and preparation of design documents (concept design) which includes route drawings.
• Prepare requisitions and technical evaluation of bids for discipline material and equipment procurement
• Identifying, evaluating, and resolving Electrical Engineering issues during the EPC phase.
• Review and approve within the specified approval durations, the EPC Contractor key deliverables and other works within the OHL discipline, ensuring compliance with OHL design requirements
• Carry out calculations & studies required to finalize OHL equipment specifications and review of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, surveys, structures, system or equipment with relatively few complex features.
• Carry out Tower Spotting by using PLS CADD and its review.
• Review and approve key design documents from Vendors, equipment manufacturers or Subcontractors and prepare comments and recommendations incorporating any comments received from the Owner.
• Supervise and manage the review and approval of EPC Contractor s work, ensuring compliance with Owner and Project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate other discipline Engineers, participation in layout reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.
• Review and approve of FAT Reports, SAT Procedures, Method Statements etc.
• Capable to attend Equipment FAT virtually.
• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline Engineers.
