The Construction Project Field Manager (PFM) will oversee and coordinate all on-site aspects of a renewable energy project. This role will ensure that construction activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to the required quality standards. The PFM has a pivotal role in delivering the project’s objectives and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
The PFM will comply with ENGIE Delivery Standard Operating Procedures throughout the progress of construction activities for the ENGIE site team. The PFM is accountable to the Senior Construction Manager, Delivery Project Manager, and Director of Construction Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution and Coordination: Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for smooth operations. Conduct regular site inspections and attend progress meetings
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Enforce a strong safety culture, identify, and mitigate hazards, and work with the HSE team on risk assessments and environmental procedures. Perform daily site walks and manage safety documentation
- Team Leadership and Management: Supervise on-site teams, conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and mentor site personnel to foster a collaborative work environment
- Scheduling and Cost Management: Assist in developing project schedules, monitor expenditures, control costs, and provide real-time updates on key activities. Collaborate with senior management to forecast needs and implement corrective actions
- Quality Control: Ensure construction activities meet design specifications and quality standards. Conduct quality inspections, resolve non-conformities, and document progress and milestones
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main on-site contact, provide regular updates to senior leadership, and address community concerns as needed
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of technical training and/or related construction management experience and a minimum of 10 years related construction experience or project management
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and PROCORE
- Experience with renewable energy technologies (Wind, Solar, Storage, Renewables) and industry-specific standards with hands on experience with tooling and equipment

- Understanding of health, safety, environmental regulations, and OSHA 30
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks effectively. Willingness to attend worksites on a daily/weekly/rotation basis. Availability to travel domestically up to 75% of the time, including overnight trips. Physical ability to conduct site visits and walk renewable energy sites for extended periods
